About the organisation

We aim to offer support in Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas for bereaved families following pregnancy loss or death of a baby or child.

Our organisation is deeply community focussed, and as we continue to flourish we do our very best to enable bereaved familes to find support and connection in each other. Our offers of specialist baby loss and child bereavement counselling and therapeutic support are accessed by over 1000 people across Notinghamshire each year.

Our events and activities include counselling, yoga for bereaved mums, woodworking for bereaved dads, wellbeing walks, into to the woods for families and siblings, support for healthcare staff and much more.

We’ve built a community with close connections to NHS staff who endorse and refer to our charity. Zephyr’s is run by bereaved people for bereaved people: we offer a community of understanding. The lived experience of trustees/staff/volunteers guides us to run a relevant, meaningful service that is truly needed.

Our community online (3k+ social media followers) and in person shapes our programme. People we have supported say how it has helped them to “feel like facing the world again”; how peer support sessions make them feel “that bit lighter”. We want to help more bereaved parents and families in this way.

No matter what, Zephyr’s is here to shine a light of hope and understanding in the darkest times.
