About the organisation
We’re WWT, and we’re on a mission to restore the super-powered ecosystems we call wetlands. There’s never been a more important moment for our work, and we’ve got some phenomenal people on the case.
Whether they’re taking a new visitor under their wing, or conducting ground-breaking research further afield, our team are second to none. And there’s nothing we love more than watching them soar.
Whatever you do here, you’ll be helping to restore wetlands and unlock their power. So, the only question left is, what role will you play?
About the role
At WWT, we are on a mission to restore wetlands and unlock their power. Taking direct action to bring wetlands back to life and inspiring and empowering everyone to do just the same.
We are looking for someone with investment portfolio experience to join our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARCom) as a co-opted member.
Effective governance is vital in making sure we harness our resources to achieve our strategy. Our Council of Trustees are responsible for overseeing our strategic direction and managing our finances, resources and risk.
The FARCom plays a crucial role in supporting trustees to do this. As a co-opted committee member, you will bring your specialist skills and knowledge to bear, helping to ensure short and long term viability for the charity. Co-opted members are not trustees, but play a crucial role in enabling good governance.
Our ideal candidate
If you’re passionate about the natural world, and are looking to use your specialist knowledge and experience to enable WWT to find solutions and inspire change, this could be the role for you.
We are looking for people with either a relevant qualification or experience to support FARCom in it’s responsibilities. We are particularly looking to add investment management experience to our committee. WWT has a significant investment portfolio and we seek someone who can help the committee to hold investment managers to account, and to support the committee and our Board with their financial and ethical investment responsibilities.
