About the organisation
Wellspring is passionate about providing affordable and accessible mental health support through professional counselling and wellbeing courses. This fills the gap which exists between NHS mental health support and private therapy, allowing anyone aged 11 years upwards to have the tailored and person-centred help they need to deal with issues such as suicidality, emotional distress, bereavement, stress, depression, acute illness and relationship breakdown. We attract top class counsellors to work for us on a reduced wage to what they could be paid privately and also we are a training centre, providing placements for trainees and continuing professional development with an excellent reputation in the area. We are involved in various fundraising activities to sustain our service and to be able to offer low-cost counselling. GPs, school, CAMHS and a host of other organisations refer into our service because they know we are professional and effective.
