About the organisation
VODA is the North Tyneside Voluntary Organisations Development Agency. At VODA, we belive that volunteers and community organisations change people's lives for the better. The amazing voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in North Tyneside is made up of over 700 Community Groups, charities and social enterprises that make a vital contribution to improving the quality of life for our local residents. We are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. We have a friendly, committed and welcoming Board of Trustees.
We work to support volunteers and community organisations in North Tyneside by:
- providing a range of free core servies to help them flourish;
- supporting opportunities for people to contribute to the community; and
- ensuring the VCSE sector has a strong voice and is involved in key decisons supporting strong partnership working between the VCSE sector and others.
We have recently moved to the new Spirit of North Tyneside Community Hub with responsibility for nurturing and managing innovative space for collaboration and co-location.
About the role
Responsibilities:
- Lead Board on accounting and reporting requirements
- Update Board on financial position
- Liaise with the staff finance team
- Attend Board meetings (6 per year)
- Attend finance sub committee meetings (6 per year)

- Finance experience
