About the organisation
The Foodbank was founded to help relieve poverty in the Borough of Doncaster. This is achieved by the delivery of a minimum of three day's worth of food to people whi are in financial crisis. We work with other agencies who determine need and issue vouchers to attend the foodbank. We have a small warehouse containing a stock of food and up to three delivery centres, one at St Jame's Church Balby, one at the Holmescarr Centre in Rossington and soon one at St Paul's Church Wheatley.
About the role
As Treasurer and Secretary
Ensure the foodbank accounts are properly prepared and reported to stautory bodies as required
Prepare management accounts and report on these to the board at least every three months
Oversee the bank accounts and issue payments as required
Ensure staturory reports are prepared and submitted to the Charities Commission and Company House as required
Our ideal candidate
A professional background in accountancy and company management
Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge and experience of working in the Charity Sector
