Founded in 2015, Techfugees is an international non-profit organisation supporting the rights and inclusion of forcibly displaced persons with responsible tech solutions designed by, with and for them.
About the role
Coordinate relationship management with appointed Bank, accountancy firm, fiscal sponsors and third parties
Control of all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems working with Techfugees appointed accountancy firm to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Process invoices for payment authorisation through online banking and account reconciliation. Maintain internal Control for the receipt of donations, cash flow management, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and financial reporting
Oversee budgeting for Techfugees HQ and programmes orchestrated by the Global Community and Emergency Response Network, monitoring progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally
Collaborate with members of the leadership team in drafting, reviewing, and verifying accuracy of annual Global budgets
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programmes
Support leadership team and volunteers for financial audit and reporting activities
Our ideal candidate
Qualifications & Experience: Accounting/Finance degree from an accredited school of business. At least one year of relevant work experience in accounting. Prior international experience and/or familiarity in working with non-profit or charity sector would be an advantage. Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.

Analytical Mind: Strong analysis skills with proven knowledge and a high degree of spreadsheet skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; strong problem-solving skills, able to identify needs and develop solutions.
Computer/Digital skills in Word, Excel, other Microsoft Office and Xero accountancy software.
