About the organisation
The Society of St Augustine of Canterbury was founded in 1922 to promote and advance the Roman Catholic religion in England and Wales. The Society’s principal objective is to support the Archdiocese of Westminster by contributing financially towards the funds needed for the conservation, maintenance and improvement of Archbishop’s House.
About the role
The Society of St Augustine of Canterbury is a small charity with annual income in 2023 of £56,000. We are looking for an Independent Examiner to certify our accounts.
Our ideal candidate
The Independent Examiner must be preferably a member of one of the UK accounting bodies, but this is not a prerequisite if any applicant has practical experience relating to charity accounting. More information can be obtained from the Charity Commissioners website and looking at the document ‘Independent examination of charity accounts – Directions and Guidance for examiners.’
What’s in it for you
The role of Independent Examiner is invaluable for the Society in delivering our charitable aims each year.
