About the organisation
We are a small UK charity with a team of volunteers supporting healthcare in rural South-West Uganda. Our main beneficiary is Bwindi Community Hospital. You can learn more about their challenging and inspiring work here - http://www.bwindihospital.com
REACH Bwindi was established by current and former UK volunteers from Bwindi Community Hospital and Uganda Nursing School Bwindi. Our trustees and volunteers are enthusiastic and passionate about supporting the work of the hospital, and in helping them to achieve their vision of ‘a healthy and productive community free from preventable disease and with excellent health services accessible to all’. We have witnessed the difference that good quality healthcare can make to the lives of the rural remote communities that the hospital serves.
