About the organisation

Nestling Learning Charity is a new UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO in formation – we are applying to the Charity Commission and are not yet registered). Our aim is to remove financial barriers to early childhood education by giving families, nurseries and communities across the UK completely free EYFS and KS1 learning tools, games and printable resources, with a particular focus on underserved communities. We are now appointing our founding independent Board of Trustees.

About the role

We are looking for a finance professional or charity governance specialist to join as our founding Treasurer. You will:
- Oversee the charity's financial controls and reporting to the board
- Lead on annual accounts and Charity Commission and HMRC filings, in line with the Charities SORP
- Provide independent oversight of conflicts of interest and of any arrangements with related organisations
- Make sure grants and donations are used solely for charitable purposes
- Take part in board decisions as a founding trustee

Voluntary and unpaid, about 4 to 8 hours a month. Fully remote, no travel needed, reasonable out-of-pocket costs reimbursed. Meetings by video call on weekday evenings or weekends. Initial 3-year term. Appointment subject to a Charity Commission trustee eligibility declaration.

How to apply: email your CV and a short expression of interest to hello@nestlinglearning.org.uk. We're happy to have an informal chat first. Closing date: 16 November 2026. More: https://nestlinglearning.org.uk

Our ideal candidate

- A qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or someone with equivalent finance or charity governance experience
- Previous trustee experience is not needed – we will support you
- Must be independent of Nestling Studios Ltd

We warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds, especially people from groups under-represented on charity boards.

What’s in it for you

Help remove financial barriers to early childhood education: your oversight will ensure every donation goes to free learning resources for families, nurseries and underserved communities across the UK. Join as a founding trustee, shape the charity's governance from day one, and be supported throughout even if you have not been a trustee before. Fully remote and flexible.
