About the organisation

At Mind in Kingston, we support people experiencing mental health difficulties across the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. Our mission is to help individuals improve wellbeing, build confidence, develop social connections, and live as independently as possible.

Our Services & Projects

Counselling Services

We offer one-to-one counselling for adults (18+) who live, work or study in Kingston. Sessions are delivered remotely by trained counsellors, with fees based on individual financial circumstances.

Wellbeing & Peer-Led Groups

We run a variety of wellbeing groups — including creative, therapeutic and social activities — giving people safe spaces to express themselves, connect with others, and strengthen their mental health.

Drop-In Cafés / Social Spaces

We provide welcoming, informal cafés where people can meet others, access peer support, enjoy a meal, and find community in a relaxed environment.

Peer Support

We deliver peer-support sessions and activities led by people with lived experience of mental health issues. These sessions promote understanding, confidence and mutual support.

Outreach & Community Engagement

We reach out into the community to ensure that people’s voices shape our services. Through engagement projects, we work to increase inclusivity and ensure our support meets the needs of diverse groups.

Training & Mental Health Awareness

We provide mental-health training to schools, charities, community groups and other organisations, helping to improve understanding and reduce stigma locally.

Champions for Change & Volunteer-Led Projects

We run volunteer-led initiatives that give people with lived experience opportunities to influence our work, share feedback, and help us improve services across the community.
