About the organisation

Link UP London builds stronger communities by connecting skilled professionals to impactful, time-limited projects in the charitable sector. Through Skilled Volunteering, we support the strategic and operational development of small charitable organisations addressing some of the most critical issues facing their communities. These connections empower local charities to increase their internal capacity with valuable professional expertise in areas such as HR, finance, communications, legal, data, IT, and more, allowing them to do their work better and make a bigger impact while simultaneously supporting volunteers to develop professional skills, feel more purposeful and more connected to community.

We currently connect skills to charitable organisations in 3 main ways including:

Skilled Volunteering Projects:Short-term, structured volunteer engagements addressing a charity’s priority development need and open to anyone with a professional skill to share, which vary in length and time commitment but typically take 27 hours over 3 months.

Social Impact Solutions: Our corporate programme provides structured skills-based employee volunteering opportunities for London companies in a range of formats from two hours through to a multi-month consultancy-style project.

Lunch & Learn Sessions: one-hour online monthly webinars allow professionals with limited time to share their expertise on topics of relevance to SGO capacity development including strategy, communications, impact, and much more.

You can learn more about how we work through our 2024 Impact Report. Link UP currently has a part-time staff team of 8, a 5-person Advisory Board and 5 Trustees.
