Jewish Music Institute (JMI) is the home of Jewish Music in the UK. We are dedicated to the celebration, preservation and the developement of the living hertiage of Jewish music for the benefitd of people of all ages and backgrounds.
About the role
- Assist in managing financial transactions and reconciling bank statements in Xero.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and records for trustees and funders.
- Ensure accurate tracking of income and expenditure, including grants and donations.
- Offer guidance on improving financial efficiency and best practices within Xero.
- Troubleshoot any Xero-related issues and provide training to staff if needed.
- Support in Journals
- End of year collation
Our ideal candidate
- Experience using Xero (certification is a plus but not required).
- Background in accounting,bookkeeping, or finance (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly within a small team.
- Passionate about supporting a charity and making a positive impact.
