About the role
As a Trustee with Equinox Learning Trust, you'll play a strategic role in helping to shape the future of education for children and young people aged 4-18 across our family of schools in Thatcham, West Berkshire. Working collaboratively as part of the Board, you'll help set the Trust's long-term direction, oversee educational and financial performance, ensure effective governance, and support and challenge senior leaders to achieve the best outcomes for our pupils. This is a strategic leadership role rather than an operational one, with an average commitment of around six hours per month.

Our ideal candidate
We're looking for people who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people. You don't need previous governance experience - we'll provide full induction and training. We're particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in education, finance, risk management and audit, governance and legal, IT and cyber security, HR, communications and marketing, or estates. Above all, we're looking for people who can think strategically, ask thoughtful questions, work collaboratively, and bring sound judgement to Board discussions. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and career stages, including those considering their first Trustee role.
