About the organisation
Our mission is to make hate and climate misinformation unprofitable by persuading advertisers to stop funding media outlets and platforms that spread harmful narratives. We believe advertising shapes culture and that, by disrupting the financial incentives behind harmful media, we can build an information ecosystem that is inclusive, accountable and climate responsible.
About the role
Reliable Media is currently seeking a Treasurer to strengthen financial oversight and support long-term organisational sustainability. While day-to-day accounting is handled by an external provider, the Treasurer plays a crucial governance role in ensuring financial stability, accountability, proportionate and financial management. The role requires providing financial literacy and risk awareness to support the Board’s ultimate responsibility for financial matters. This is a role for someone who wants to help a small but rapidly evolving organisation strengthen its systems while retaining its values-led, community-conscious ethos.
