Main tasks include leading budget planning on the income side, providing reports and management accounts to the Board, managing the bank account and cash. The role is not responsible for fundraising but liaises with those who are, especially in terms of reserve levels.
Our ideal candidate
The role requires experience of accounting and producing the above reports, not necessarily in a charity. An accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
What’s in it for you
The charity's work is often described by parents as not just life-changing but life-saving. We can only continue to operate by attracting new funds and we can only do this by demonstrating that we are well run and that the donors money is being wisely spent. The Treasurer, as much as any other Trustee , will get a great sense of satisfaction at helping so many children make a much better start in life. Our Trustee board is full of compassionate, caring and humorous people. Board meetings are very rewarding and enjoyable!
